About me
Jessica Barnes understands yoga as a set of tools for working to improve physical and mental wellbeing. Her yoga journey started as a kid trying to mimic her mother doing poses on the living room floor. Years later she began to cultivate a personal practice to stay fit and carve out a space for self-care as a working mother of two young children. Her practice brought increasing awareness of yoga’s power to improve posture and strength – both physically and mentally. Jessica worked to build a deeper understanding of yoga and a way to share it with her community by completing 200-hour teacher training at The Yoga Experience in 2020.
Courses Jessica teaches are slow and steady with a focus on feeling good! Her sequences build strength, flexibility, and create spaces for relaxation and reflection. She invites us to pause and notice the connections between our body and mind, people and nature, and ourselves and the world.
