Andrew Ecker – Drumming Sounds Founder Speaker • Author • Sound Medicine Facilitator • Cultural Storyteller For more than a decade, Andrew Ecker has brought rhythm, ceremony, and heart-centered leadership to Sedona Yoga Festival, weaving ancient drumming practices with modern healing spaces. Andrew is the creator of the Drumming Sounds Protocol, an evidence-supported group drumming model now taught inside the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine and included in the Fellowship training reaching over 3,000 physicians nationwide. His work has led him to keynote and facilitate at conferences including: Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine North American Primary Care Research Group National Association of Children’s Mental Health Behavioral health, recovery, and corporate wellness summits nationwide Andrew has spent 25+ years guiding communities through drumming, ceremony, and shared rhythm — supporting recovery programs, hospitals, and wellness institutions across the country. His career in healing arts has created opportunities to collaborate with six Native American tribal nations, honoring culture, identity, and traditional ways of knowing. A natural teacher, Andrew has trained more than 300 facilitators and helped hundreds of people build their own frame drums, supporting the revival of personal ceremony, sovereignty, and ancestral memory through craft. Monica Patton – Drumming Sounds Co-Founder Sound Healer • Drum Circle Facilitator • Reiki Master • Artist Monica Patton brings a grounded, intuitive, heart-forward energy to Sedona Yoga Festival, guiding participants into deep states of connection and embodied presence through sound, rhythm, and ceremony. As co-founder of Drumming Sounds, Monica is a nationally recognized facilitator whose offerings have been included in the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine Fellowship, helping bring sound medicine into the hands of more than 3,000 doctors and healthcare practitioners. Monica’s leadership has been felt in hospitals, treatment facilities, memory care communities, and wellness gatherings across the country. With Andrew, she has helped train over 300 aspiring facilitators — empowering a new generation of rhythm keepers, community leaders, and ceremonial guides. Monica has also supported hundreds of individuals in building their own hand-made frame drums and rattles, transforming raw materials into sacred instruments and personal medicine allies.
