About me
Madisson found yoga in the early 2000s, when his mom (Robyn Bishop-Marin) completed her 200hr training and opened her first studio in the suburban LA area. The practice of yoga both on and off the mat has helped Madisson in his life beyond words. In the throes of depressions and anxiety it felt like the only thing that could help him from spiraling out was to move his body and his breath. Life just made more sense after any practice. He finally found a deep sense of calm and connection. Almost 15 years later Madisson completed his first teacher training and began teaching regular classes shortly after an apprenticeship at his home studio The Collective St Pete (where he still teaches and manages today). Madisson’s mission is to bring a fresh and fun take on traditional yoga movement and philosophy and make it accessible to all. With a similar ethos from the punk/hardcore community, Madisson preaches the word of kindness and self-care, inclusivity and come as you are mentality, and not being so rigid in one’s perspective, especially while moving on your mat. Madisson’s intention is to bring people into the practice who have preconceived notions that yoga is not for them. Everyone deserves to feel good and everyone deserves to have peace of mind. In Madisson’s own words, “Yoga saved my life and it can save yours too!”.
