About me
Cristi Christensen is an author, global embodiment, sound healer, and transformational leader on a mission to awaken the innate power within the human body and shake up the planet. A former elite-level gymnast and platform diver, Cristi trained with the US Olympic Diving team as a young adult. After a devastating injury ended her Olympic pursuit, she faced another formidable challenge: a battle with advanced-stage cancer. This profound journey deepened her connection to the resilience of the human spirit and revealed the extraordinary healing intelligence within the body. Through this experience, Cristi ignited an unshakable inner fire and expanded her work to include the powerful dimension of sound as a gateway to nervous system regulation, energetic clearing, and deep cellular restoration. Integrating what she calls The Somatic Sound Experience, Cristi harnesses the vibrational power of sound healing alongside yoga, breathwork, movement, and ritual to release stagnant energy, restore coherence to the nervous system, and activate deeper states of embodiment, awareness, and transformation. Her teachings emphasize that healing is not about transcending the body, but about fully inhabiting it—awakening its wisdom, honoring its intelligence, and remembering its capacity to regenerate and thrive. With her celebrated book Chakra Rituals: Awakening the Wild Woman Within, and more than two decades of experience guiding students through profound personal transformation, Cristi has become a leading voice in embodiment and women’s awakening. Her work has taken her to more than 20 countries around the globe. She is the founder of the international Kirana Yoga School and co-creator of Deep Exhale, a transformational yoga and dance experience alongside her creative partner, Marques Wyatt. Through her unique fusion of movement, ritual, and sound, Cristi creates immersive experiences that awaken vitality, restore wholeness, and reconnect individuals to their most radiant, authentic selves.
