Opening Ceremonies, Keynote with Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, and Resilient Beings Immersive Music with Max Ribner
Thursday April 23, 2026 6:00pm - 9:30pm MST
Join us as we gather for an intentional start to the 14th Annual Sedona Yoga Festival.

Keynote: Doorway to Inner Prosperity with Pandit Rajmani Tigunait Peace and predictability are the foundations of prosperity and lasting happiness. Yet since World War II, these qualities have never felt more scarce than they do today. In this moment of global uncertainty, each of us is being called to reflect on our personal dharma and to discover a reliable path toward inner clarity, stability, and confidence.

To move forward, we must rekindle trust in ourselves, in our resolutions, and in our capacity to bring meaningful change to both our inner and outer worlds. The time-tested wisdom of the sages reminds us that such trust goes hand in hand with inner security, peace, and lasting prosperity.

As a leading authority on yoga, tantra, and the living tradition of meditation, Pandit Tigunait will share a profoundly relevant and empowering dimension of this ancient science, which has guided humanity for millennia. This is a message none of us can afford to miss.

Friday April 24, 2026 5:30am - 7:30am MST
The Sri Shakti Abhishekam is a sacred Vedic ceremony dedicated to invoking the Divine Feminine, Shakti, the universal creative power that animates all of life. Led by Sanjay Soni, a world-renowned Vedic Astrologer and Vastu Consultant, this traditional ritual combines the ancient practices of mantra, flowers, water offerings to awaken inner radiance, balance the elements, and align participants with divine grace and prosperity.

Through sacred chanting, guided intention-setting, and the ritual bathing (abhishekam) of the goddess, this ceremony activates the energies of love, abundance, and higher wisdom. Participants are invited into a deeply meditative state, where devotion and vibration merge to dissolve obstacles and restore harmony on every level, body, mind, and soul.

Join us for this luminous sunrise ceremony to honor the Divine Mother within and around you. It is recommended to shower beforehand and refrain from eating non-vegetarian food that morning to maintain ritual purity. You may bring fruits or flowers as offerings if you wish. Reset Flow for Posture: Preventing the Desk Body
Friday April 24, 2026 8:00am - 9:15am MST
Hours spent at a desk often lead to rounded shoulders, inhibited glutes, tight hips, and forward head posture—the “desk body.” These patterns not only create discomfort but also affect energy, focus, and long-term spinal health.

In this guided class, participants will move through a functional reset flow that blends yoga, Pilates, and corrective exercise. We’ll wake up the glutes and core, release chronically tight hip flexors and chest muscles, and strengthen the posterior chain to restore balance. Using mindful breathwork alongside targeted movement, this practice re-educates the body to sit taller, move smarter, and feel more energized.

This session is accessible to all levels and particularly valuable for yoga teachers, professionals, and anyone who spends time at a computer or behind a desk. Participants will leave feeling aligned, open, and equipped with practical movements they can incorporate into daily life to reset their posture and prevent injury.

Beyond Inhale & Exhale The Breath Map Yoga Forgot :The Hidden Curriculum of Breath
Friday April 24, 2026 10:30am - 12:00pm MST
Beyond Inhale & Exhale: The Breath Map Yoga Forgot
The Hidden Curriculum of Breath

Somewhere along the way, the yoga world reduced breath to cueing inhale, exhale, and perhaps adding ujjayi.

But breath is not a technique.

It is the single most intelligent anchor inside asana. It shapes nervous system tone, pranic direction, muscular effort, mental steadiness, and subtle awareness — all before we ever touch formal pranayama.

In this deeply layered and practical session, Arundhati B invites you into the hidden curriculum of breath. You will explore:

• The six distinct qualities of breath and how each alters a student’s internal experience
• The three-layered nature of breathing — physical, energetic, and perceptual
• How breath organizes effort, stability, and expansion inside postures
• Why reducing breath to ujjayi limits both teacher and student
• How to deepen breath literacy without turning your class into a pranayama workshop

This is not about adding more technique. It is about refining perception.

If you are a teacher, you will leave with sharper tools and a radically more intelligent way to cue. If you are a practitioner, you will experience how breath alone can transform the depth of your practice.

Join Arundhati B — global yoga educator and voice behind a new movement in breath literacy — as she reshapes how we understand and teach yoga through the breath.

Optimize Resilience & Strength Training
Friday April 24, 2026 1:00pm - 3:00pm MST
Resilience is a word that gets thrown around a lot but what I love about this word is that it implies a state of health that is adaptable to the pressures of life and allows us to be more injury resistant. The muscles get a lot of spotlight, and rightfully so, but when it comes to physical resilience the connective tissues are equally important. It’s easy enough to lift weights and increase our strength capacity at the gym but there is so much more to strength, like our functional capacity, movement efficiency, endurance, and the strength of our collagen matrix for injury resilience. After all, our muscles are only as strong as the connective tissue matrix that holds them together and allows them to transmit force. This class will investigate research-based practices that you can bring onto your mat to support your strength training. Tiffany has worked with professional athletes across the US and helped create the Nike Wellness Center programs (at Nike WHQ) and so brings a wealth of both cutting edge knowledge and depth of experience from her specialty in sports medicine over the past 30 years of her career. Whether you’re trying to enhance performance & strength, looking to help minimize injuries, or just wanting to function & feel your best this class will explore ways to train the tissues toward strength & resilience through our lifespan. This class takes a modern lens to our traditional asanas with plenty of information to help you bring the concepts home with you. All you need is some vinyasa experience, all levels are welcome.

No props needed but block & blanket would be great if available.

Awakening Flow: A Himalayan Kundalini & Sound Journey
Saturday April 25, 2026 6:30am - 7:45am MST
The Himalayan Kundalini Journey is a multidimensional practice designed to awaken energy, release stagnation, and invite deeper connection. Rooted in the ancient teachings of Himalayan Kundalini, the session begins with seated kriya and rhythmic breathwork to activate prana and clear energetic pathways. Guided asana and intentional movement follow, building vitality in the body and presence in the mind.

As the journey unfolds, participants are invited into a burst of freeform dance and expression: a chance to shake off heaviness, embody joy, and allow energy to flow freely. If time allows, a short moment of community connection helps anchor the sense of shared experience and presence.

The practice culminates in a restorative sound bath, weaving together singing bowls, instruments, and live vocals. This immersive soundscape grounds the body and integrates the energetic shifts of the journey, leaving participants feeling nourished, expanded, and aligned. The Himalayan Kundalini Journey is both activating and deeply restorative: an offering of presence, play, and ritual for all who attend.

The Radical Act of Integration: Democratizing Rest & Building Sustainable Self-Efficacy for Community Stewards
Saturday April 25, 2026 10:30am - 12:30pm MST
"Everyone gets free" is the vision. But for those traditionally from marginalized groups, the path to freedom is often blocked by "wellness" spaces that don't reflect our lived realities. This workshop, led by Tamika Caston-Miller, is a sanctuary for social justice-centered practitioners to move beyond the aesthetic of wellness and into the tools of rest and release.

We will dismantle the barriers to wellness by examining the role of the Trifecta of Belief, practicing processes of somatic noticing, learning how to "call in" the energy needed to sustain community tending without burning out. This is yoga as a tool for sustainable, collective liberation.

Participants will:

Enjoy interactive discourse on democratizing the Practice, and how to move away from exclusionary wellness imagery toward a practice that is "for everyone".

Learn about the Science of Self-Efficacy, and understand how our belief in our own capacity is bolstered by role modeling and community.

Practice Somatic Processing for Activism; utilize the Move → Notice → Pause cycle to process the emotional toll of our work.

Implementing a scalable "Rest Practice Integration" toolkit that fits into a life of service

Saraswati: Key to the Treasure Trove of Tantra
Saturday April 25, 2026 1:00pm - 2:30pm MST
At the heart of the tantric tradition stands Saraswati, the radiant embodiment of knowledge, intuition, and the hidden currents of wisdom that guide every seeker. In the esoteric teachings of the Durga Saptashati, she is revealed as the gatekeeper to the vast treasury of tantra vidya, and the one who holds the key to unveiling the deeper nature of reality. Known as maha maya and yoga nidra, Saraswati illuminates the many layers of human experience, from the most ordinary to the most sublime, and shows us how to move skillfully between them.
In this transformative session, you will explore this multifaceted divinity not as a symbol, but as a living force that unlocks access to the true heart of tantra. You will also learn the meaning and practice of a rare and sacred Saraswati mantra, preserved in both the Vedic and tantric traditions, and discover how this mantra opens the doors to clarity, creativity, and inner awakening.
From this vantage point, this session expands into the wider world of tantra itself—a tradition that, for millennia, has offered a priceless trove of techniques to support and accelerate our spiritual growth. Yet today it is often overshadowed by confusion and sensationalism. Some encounter rituals, mantras, kundalini, and chakras; others become absorbed in deities and mystical practices.
Pandit Tigunait, drawing on a thousand-year lineage of tantric masters, will cut through this modern jungle of misunderstanding to reveal the rich and sublime essence of tantra. You will learn how to discern which aspects of the tantric tradition resonate most deeply with you, how to navigate common pitfalls with confidence, and how to follow a path that leads directly to inner fulfillment and true freedom.

Revealing Pranic Awareness: A Guided Yoga and Vishoka Meditation Experience
Sunday April 26, 2026 10:30am - 11:45am MST
Prana, the dynamic power of life force expressed through the subtle face of breath, is revered as a profound yet elusive principle for modern yogis. While many are familiar with the concept, experiencing prana in a tangible, embodied way can often feel just out of reach.

In the Himalayan Tradition, cultivating pranic sensitivity through breath training and breath-aligned asana is considered a foundational skill. As this sensitivity deepens, it unfolds into a refined awareness of prana itself. This experience becomes the gateway to more advanced yogic practices, including Vishoka Meditation.

In this guided all-levels class, you’ll explore how breath training, breath-aligned asana, systematic relaxation, and foundational pranayama practices naturally awaken pranic awareness. You’ll also learn how this awareness is refined and applied through the transformative practice of Vishoka Meditation.

Awaken Your Heart Kirtan - Devotional Chanting Experience
Sunday April 26, 2026 6:30pm - 8:00pm MST
Join us for an uplifting and soul-nourishing Kirtan Devotional Chanting Ceremony, where music and mantra come together to open the heart, quiet the mind, and deepen your connection to the divine.

Through call-and-response chanting, we’ll explore the sacred sounds of ancient Sanskrit mantras, allowing their vibrations to uplift our spirit and create a profound sense of inner peace. Whether you’re new to Kirtan or a longtime chanter, this immersive experience will guide you into a state of joy, unity, and devotion.

Accompanied by harmonium, drums, and other traditional instruments, this gathering is a space to express, surrender, and celebrate—a journey into Bhakti (the yoga of love and devotion) that requires no musical experience, only an open heart.

Come ready to sing, sway, and immerse yourself in the transformative power of sacred sound. Let your voice be an offering, and let the music carry you home.

Kirtronica Ecstatic Dance with Jaya Lakshmi featuring Fiddler On The Rock and Gabriel Browne
Sunday April 26, 2026 8:00pm - 9:30pm MST
Kirtronica was born in 2009, a few years after the dis-banding of the tribal-trance-techno group Lost at Last in 2004, of which Jaya Lakshmi was the lead singer and songwriter from its inception until the end.

"I wanted to keep the vision of mantra and sacred prayers with EDM as we had in Lost at Last alive so I created 'Kirtronica' using Ableton Live. With 'Kirtronica', the aim is to get people chanting mantras in kirtan style while they were dancing. I used to do that on my own when I danced at raves in the 90's and always wondered, what if we could dance like this AND chant?"

The first 'Kirtronica' album was born in 2013, with chants to Ganesh, Sita-Ram, Ambe, Radhe, etc. The 2nd, 'Kundalini Kirtronica' came out in 2015 which has mantras connected to Kundalini Yoga practice and Sikh Dharma. Compositions include a variety of beats, such as house, trance, and chill/downtempo.

Both are available on most digital platforms, on Bandcamp and on Jaya Laskhmi's website.
Listen to 'Kirtronica' playlist of both albums on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6lAstWmyhmfpVQGfZtdXQR?si=0GvBndEBSW23UhGlPfBN5A
