Beyond the Mat: Yoga, Leadership, and Community Care
Saturday April 25, 2026 9:00am - 10:00am MST
As yoga continues to expand globally, teachers are increasingly called to examine not just how they teach, but why. In this experiential and discussion-based session, Kate Herrera Jenkins invites participants to explore yoga as an act of service rather than performance. Drawing from her lived Indigenous experience, leadership coaching background, and over many years of teaching, Kate offers a grounded framework for teaching that centers humility, responsibility, and relationship.

The session blends gentle movement, guided inquiry, and group reflection to explore key questions facing modern yoga professionals: How do we teach from lived experience rather than borrowed narratives? What does cultural humility look like in contemporary yoga spaces? How can we move beyond aesthetic-driven practices and toward teaching that truly serves diverse communities? Participants are encouraged to reflect honestly on their role as leaders, educators, and stewards of the practice.

Designed for yoga teachers and seasoned practitioners, you'll leave with renewed clarity around your teaching purpose, tools for cultivating integrity in your offerings, and a deeper understanding of how embodied leadership on the mat can translate into meaningful service within your community.

Tuning Fork Self-Attunement & Energetic Clearing: A Nervous System Reset
Saturday April 25, 2026 9:00am - 12:00pm MST
Sound is medicine — and you can apply it to yourself. In this workshop, we explore how tuning forks deliver precise frequencies through bone, fascia, and the subtle body to release tension and support deep nervous system balance. You’ll learn the basics of resonance, frequency, and subtle-body energetics, combined with simple breathwork and gentle movement to prepare your system for sound.

Participants will then practice self-administered tuning fork attunements — placing vibration at key bony and energetic points to dissolve stagnation, reset the nervous system, and invite clarity. We close with a guided integration to maintain balance and energetic hygiene.

Harnessing Energy and Movement to Transform the Self
Saturday April 25, 2026 10:30am - 11:30am MST
This session blends storytelling, yoga philosophy, and evidence-based movement science to explore how yoga and Pilates serve as vessels for resilience, recovery, and self-discovery. I’ll share how my practice carried me through a devastating trimalleolar ankle fracture—an injury that required 14 screws—and how mindful movement not only rebuilt my body but rewired my mindset. We’ll examine how yoga and Pilates literally “turn on” the body in times of injury or challenge, building new neural connections, enhancing cognition, and strengthening our ability to bounce back.

Participants will walk away with both inspiration and practical insight: how to set process and outcome goals, how intrinsic and extrinsic cues can motivate long-term change, and how consistent practice creates resilience that extends far beyond the mat. This is a talk designed for teachers and practitioners alike—anyone ready to explore how energy, movement, and mindset weave together to transform the self.

The Radical Act of Integration: Democratizing Rest & Building Sustainable Self-Efficacy for Community Stewards
Saturday April 25, 2026 10:30am - 12:30pm MST
"Everyone gets free" is the vision. But for those traditionally from marginalized groups, the path to freedom is often blocked by "wellness" spaces that don't reflect our lived realities. This workshop, led by Tamika Caston-Miller, is a sanctuary for social justice-centered practitioners to move beyond the aesthetic of wellness and into the tools of rest and release.

We will dismantle the barriers to wellness by examining the role of the Trifecta of Belief, practicing processes of somatic noticing, learning how to "call in" the energy needed to sustain community tending without burning out. This is yoga as a tool for sustainable, collective liberation.

Participants will:

Enjoy interactive discourse on democratizing the Practice, and how to move away from exclusionary wellness imagery toward a practice that is "for everyone".

Learn about the Science of Self-Efficacy, and understand how our belief in our own capacity is bolstered by role modeling and community.

Practice Somatic Processing for Activism; utilize the Move → Notice → Pause cycle to process the emotional toll of our work.

Implementing a scalable "Rest Practice Integration" toolkit that fits into a life of service

Prāṇāyāma That Actually Works in Asana Classes
Saturday April 25, 2026 1:00pm - 3:00pm MST
Simple, Intelligent Breath Practices That Actually Work

Prāṇāyāma does not need to be intimidating, esoteric, or reserved for seated workshops.

And yet, many yoga teachers either skip it entirely in asana classes or overcomplicate it to the point where students feel confused or disconnected.

This session is about practicality and discernment.

In this applied workshop, Arundhati B shares the exact prāṇāyāma practices she weaves into her movement-based classes — intelligently, safely, and with clear purpose.

You will learn:

• Which breath practices integrate naturally into asana sequences
• How to layer prāṇāyāma without disrupting class flow
• When to stimulate, when to settle, and how to read the room
• How to cue simply without diluting depth
• The difference between teaching technique and cultivating experience

This is not about adding complexity. It is about adding clarity.

Whether you are a newer teacher or seasoned educator, you will leave with practical tools you can use immediately — and a deeper confidence in guiding breath within dynamic classes.

Somatic Tools for Pain & Nervous System Regulation
Saturday April 25, 2026 1:00pm - 3:00pm MST
This teacher-focused workshop equips instructors to safely support students experiencing pain, tension, and mobility limitations. Emphasizing anatomy-informed strategies (including the core, spine, deep front line, and vagus nerve) participants learn to observe, cue, and guide students with comfort, alignment, and self-awareness.

Common conditions such as lower back pain, limited range of motion, disc herniation, and chronic tension are addressed. Using somatic techniques, movement titration, and subtle breathwork, teachers gain practical tools to help students regulate their nervous system and engage with their bodies as allies, fostering empowerment and accessibility in their practice.
