Awakening Abundance: An Introduction to the Mantras of Sri Sukta
Friday April 24, 2026 10:30am - 12:00pm MST
Authentic tantra is the living legacy of an ancient tradition that viewed life and the world as a sacred gift of the Divine. These sages dedicated their lives to seducing the forces of nature—the manifest world of matter and energy, as well as the subtle world of consciousness—and discovering tools and means of unimaginable potency, capable of granting us lasting fulfillment and the experience of the Divine within. This is the source of the Sri Sukta.

The Sri Sukta is an ancient cluster of sixteen Vedic mantras dedicated to the Divine Mother Sri. Embraced as a master practice within the tantric tradition, these awakened mantras unfold as a sacred dialogue between Jatavedas Agni, the omniscient, sacred fire, and the seer. Together, they invoke the forces of abundance, nourishment, and lasting fulfillment to walk into our lives.

In this experiential workshop, we’ll explore essential principles of tantric philosophy through an introduction to the mantras of the Sri Sukta. While we’ll touch on the overarching themes of all sixteen mantras, our focus will center on the ninth mantra, which embodies the indomitable power of will and the healing potential of the Divine. Participants will learn traditional call-and-response pronunciation of this mantra and engage in a guided recitation of the complete Sri Sukta, deepening both understanding and practice.

Embracing Higher Reality: Yoga Sutra’s Essential Teachings on the Divine Within
Friday April 24, 2026 3:30pm - 4:45pm MST
Modern yoga is recognized as the quintessential path for personal growth and wellbeing through personal practice. We excel in our identity as the practitioner, and celebrate the sense of the agency which yoga helps us regain. A classical understanding of yoga, however, celebrates the intersection of self-effort and divine grace. It encourages us to recognize how the profound insights revealed by yoga are glimpses of a Higher Reality which surrounds us, and boldly inspires us to embrace that Higher Reality.

In this lecture and discussion inspired by the wisdom of the Yoga Sutra, explore the nature of Higher Reality known as Ishvara (Yoga Sutras 1:23-29), the relationship between self-effort and divine grace, and how we can reconcile yoga’s focus on self-effort with the notion of trustful surrender to the divine.
