Accessible Ashtanga - its about progress not perfection
Friday April 24, 2026 8:00am - 9:30am MST
Experience mind-body meditation using The Tristhana Method, a central practice in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. This holistic approach emphasizes the integration of three key elements: breath (Ujjayi Pranayama), posture (Asana), and gaze (Drishti). This method aims to cultivate a deep, meditative state by uniting these three aspects of practice, leading to a profound mind-body connection and spiritual awakening.

Breath control helps regulate the nervous system, calm the mind, and create a rhythm for physical movements. The Tristhana Method emphasizes proper alignment within each posture, ensuring stability and the engagement of the inner body/subtle body (bandhas). Drishti is the specific point of focus for the eyes during each asana, which helps to stabilize the mind and deepen the experience of pratyahara or one-pointed focus and concentration.

By consciously coordinating these three elements, the practitioners gain outer strength and inner equanimity.

Beyond Inhale & Exhale The Breath Map Yoga Forgot :The Hidden Curriculum of Breath
Friday April 24, 2026 10:30am - 12:00pm MST
Beyond Inhale & Exhale: The Breath Map Yoga Forgot
The Hidden Curriculum of Breath

Somewhere along the way, the yoga world reduced breath to cueing inhale, exhale, and perhaps adding ujjayi.

But breath is not a technique.

It is the single most intelligent anchor inside asana. It shapes nervous system tone, pranic direction, muscular effort, mental steadiness, and subtle awareness — all before we ever touch formal pranayama.

In this deeply layered and practical session, Arundhati B invites you into the hidden curriculum of breath. You will explore:

• The six distinct qualities of breath and how each alters a student’s internal experience
• The three-layered nature of breathing — physical, energetic, and perceptual
• How breath organizes effort, stability, and expansion inside postures
• Why reducing breath to ujjayi limits both teacher and student
• How to deepen breath literacy without turning your class into a pranayama workshop

This is not about adding more technique. It is about refining perception.

If you are a teacher, you will leave with sharper tools and a radically more intelligent way to cue. If you are a practitioner, you will experience how breath alone can transform the depth of your practice.

Join Arundhati B — global yoga educator and voice behind a new movement in breath literacy — as she reshapes how we understand and teach yoga through the breath.

Cleansing with the Seasons: Detox for Yogic Strength & Clarity
Friday April 24, 2026 1:00pm - 2:00pm MST
This lecture, Cleansing with the Seasons: Detox for Yogic Strength & Clarity, teaches how to practice seasonal cleansing to support both body and mind. I will guide you through a three-step approach: optimizing digestion and lung function with breathing exercises, cleansing the liver and gallbladder, and nourishing the kidneys at a cellular level. These practices are based on Mongolian traditional medicine and are designed to enhance the five vital organs, clear the mind, and strengthen memory. Detox and rejuvenation are the Yin and Yang of health, working together to bring balance and vitality.

We will also explore why seasonal detox is especially important for yogis and how it supports energy, focus, and overall well-being. Participants will learn simple, practical approaches to detox, helping reset the body, improve mental clarity, and prepare for a deeper, more aligned yoga practice.

The Science of Stillness- Finding Calm in a World of Motion
Friday April 24, 2026 3:30pm - 4:30pm MST
In a culture that prizes productivity and constant motion, stillness can feel elusive—or even uncomfortable. Yet both yoga philosophy and modern neuroscience affirm that stillness is not passive. It is an active state that restores balance to the nervous system, replenishes energy, and allows clarity and creativity to emerge.

This session explores the profound impact of stillness on the body, mind, and spirit. Through the lens of neuroscience, we will look at what happens in the brain and nervous system when we pause, rest, and turn inward. Drawing on yogic teachings, we will remember that stillness is a practice of returning home to ourselves, reconnecting with presence and inner wisdom.

Participants will be guided through experiential practices that make stillness accessible in daily life: breath awareness, micro-meditations, and gentle pauses that can be integrated into even the busiest schedule. Along the way, we will reflect on the barriers that keep us in motion and discover how small shifts toward stillness can transform stress into spaciousness.

You will leave with both a renewed appreciation for stillness and a toolkit of simple practices to ground, restore, and reconnect. Stillness becomes not just a practice on the mat, but a science-backed pathway to resilience and joy.

Stillness as Medicine: Yoga Nidra and Ancestral Ways of Knowing
Friday April 24, 2026 7:00pm - 8:00pm MST
In a world of constant stimulation and urgency, the nervous system often remains in a state of heightened alert. This session invites participants into deep rest through a yoga nidra practice that integrates breath awareness, guided imagery, and storytelling. Drawing from her background as a board-certified music therapist and her lived Indigenous lineage as a member of Cochiti Pueblo, Kate Herrera Jenkins offers rest as both medicine and remembrance.

Story is woven gently throughout the practice as a regulating and integrative force, honoring Indigenous traditions where story serves to orient, teach, and restore balance. You will be guided through accessible practices and prolonged stillness designed to support safety and nervous system regulation. Rather than bypassing experience, the session emphasizes presence, listening, and connection—allowing the body to process and integrate without effort or performance.

Designed for yoga practitioners, teachers, and wellness professionals, this offering bridges science and soul. You will leave with a deeper understanding of breath as regulation, story as integration, and stillness as resilience, along with practical tools you can incorporate into personal practice or professional settings.
